Belgravia, London

As part of this project, we transformed an unloved, almost derelict Grade II listed building in Victoria into a cutting-edge office building.   We were also able to add residential space to the mews at the rear of the building creating a real success story for our client.

The building had been insensitively altered in the 1970’s and we were tasked with upgrading the building to meet modern standards. This meant the removal of the single lift and 1970’s rambling staircase. These were replaced with a new twin lift core, new rationalised stair core and modern elegant toilet facilities.   We introduced a common entrance to the commercial space for  46 and 48 leading into a reception area. An unused, dirty light well between the commercial building and residential mews to the rear was covered with a striking glass roof to create additional usable internal space and bring quality sunlight into the floors.  The mews property was sensitively extended to create three elegant contemporary apartments.
