Our client asked us to do the architectural designs and manage the planning application and process for the £60m restoration of a grand but neglected Grade II listed building in the Grosvenor Gardens Conservation Area.
Our plans for the mixed-use development comprises 84,900 square feet of residential space and 12,400 square feet of retail space, 42 luxury apartments, with concierge, business meeting areas, a cinema room and 5,000 square foot wellness centre and spa. There will also be underground parking via Eaton Lane. Retail and restaurant space will be located at ground level, overlooking Lower Grosvenor Gardens, which will be carefully redeveloped as an area for the local community to enjoy.
‘Our office is located directly opposite this magnificent building and we are sure this development will enhance the entire area,’ says Leon Kalkwarf. ‘Our vision does not only include restoration of the currently neglected building, but also public realm enhancements of the greater Grosvenor Gardens conservation area overall. We are working closely with the client to develop an architectural brand identity for the completed building.”
